He's here! Beautiful baby boy born to my amazing little sis Leah and her husband Justin. Born on November 16, 2010 7lbs. 9 oz. 21 inches. He is such a sweet boy with lots of blond hair and a pleasant baby! I am so excited to be an Auntie again! Love this little guy!

Labor Day Weekend project!

This weekend my sister blessed her baby boy, Peyton, and my first official day started at Just Sew on Friday....so I had the idea of making one of these darling car seat covers that I have seen everywhere lately. I figured out the pattern (was so proud of myself) and bought the fabric and took it out to Stacey's house and made it Saturday so he could have it Sunday for his blessing. I found out after I was done that it matched his diaper bag perfectly! I showed Jenny the pictures when I got home of the one I made and she decided she had to make one for her new niece...so we went to Just Sew together and picked out the fabric....then she came over today and I let her use my machine so she could do a cute edge on it and I helped her with the "pattern". Her pictures are at the bottom! Hers has a nice girly touch....would love to make a girly one for myself one day!

A couple Saturdays ago my good friend died......My Blowdryer....it has been the best one I have ever had...it serioiusly lasted about 15 years...the longest lasting blowdryer I have ever known. It was there for me for dates, my wedding, and many other important days, through curly and straight, short and long....it was seriously a sad day when it didn't run anymore...I almost cried! So heres to you Blowdryer....I have found a replacement...but it will never measure up.

I finished!!!! I have been in a Block of the Month group at American Quilting called "Saturday Sampler" for the past year. We would do one block a month and if you finished the block and brought it in the next meeting...you got the next block free...I finished every month and got all mine for free!!! The second Saturday in June we were shown how it would look and bought our finishing kits and I finished mine just 2 weeks ago! We just started another one in July and I am so excited...it's a mystery again...will find out what it looks like at the end again....one more year...one more quilt! I love doing them this way! I just need to get this one quilting and then I can bind it....then it will be all the way done!

I am so proud of myself...I have always helped my mom can growing up, but never did it for myself! Well, my aunt called me and gave me a 5 gallon bucket full of apricots...so I made jam! It wasn't even freezer jam either....it was the shelf stuff! My mom came and helped me ALL day Wednesday and then my sweet visiting teachers came over and Cammi Garner (one of them) gave me a bunch of apples! So, Thursday we decided to can apple pie filling! I am so proud of myself...so I took pictures of how pretty 38 pints of jam and 7 quarts of apples look!

So I'm finally blogging about this because I wanted permission to steal these layouts off of my friend Jenn's Blog! What a blast we had. First we went to Olive Garden for dinner (so yummy)! Then we went to Jenny's parents house and played games all night and some tuckered out early and had to leave....then Jenn and I finally fell asleep around 6 am! Thanks so much to Jenny's parents for letting us stay at their house while they were gone! My favorite pic on this whole layout is my fake-out nose pick!!! Looks pretty real doesn't it! We had such a blast that night! Can't wait to hang out again....I truly love these ladies...they have become great friends of mine!

We had a great Easter weekend and I am finally blogging about it! We colored eggs, the boys got spoiled...we were all lazy...it was great! Bear with me...there are a lot of pictures! The boys hunting for eggs!Their balls from Grandma!Their Easter baskets! New sunday outfits, with matching socks!

The boys got kites for Easter and it was the perfect day to fly kites! Kason would hold on for awhile and then just let go....so we had to chase the kite before it flew away!

I can't remember what movie it came from, but Kody and I have always joked about a line about getting flowers "just because it's Tuesday"...I love getting flowers for no reason. Kody did it yesterday...it was so cute. He brought home Bajio salads for us and a pepperoni Papa Murphy's pizza for the kids and this sweet flower and note!
How sweet is that! He totally made my day!

I never did blog about our first adventure....and I probably should've! I tried about a month ago to get Kason's 2 year old pictures done. It was a DISASTER! He screamed the whole time, so we rescheduled for last week and we got a few with him and Kooper together....so to get some of Kason by himself, we just cropped them! We thought we could get Kason to warm up to the photographer if they went together first....it worked for a few, but we never got any of him by himself. I tried to change there clothes for some other ones together...I even put them in Lightning McQueen shirts together....still didn't work! We were lucky to get the few we got, because Kason inevitably screamed again for the rest of the time there. Kooper did great for his individual pictures.....at least I have one child that is easy to take pictures at a studio! I love this one! This one was a good one for cropping Kason!We had to hold Lightning McQueen to be happy! Here is a cropped one of Kason!

1. What are your middle names? Kody's, Lars or Larson.....Lars on his Birth certificate and Larson on church records....typo on the BC but, later found out it was his Great grandfathers name! Kayla's, Rae....my grandmothers middle name and just made a new friend Rae Ann...we bonded with the name!

I can't believe I have a 5 year old now! Besides him turning 5, I just went and registered him for Kindergarten earlier this week, I almost cried....so I can't imagine what I will be like on his first day of Kindergarten! After Kason's spongebob party...Kooper decided he had to have one too....so here is Spongebob cake #2! Blowing out the candles!Reading the card from Grandma Great! Kooper and his cousin Craig...they are good pals! This picture of Kooper is just priceless....he was so excited for his CARS Leapster2! The loot! My little sweet toothed boy! Of course Grandma assists in the feeding of the sugary snacks!

We just decided to start pulling out my collection of Disney poster puzzles and doing a family puzzle every Monday night! Last night I chose 101 Dalmations....because my kids watch that movie in the car all the time! We had a lot of fun....mom and dad did most the work....but Kooper is pretty good at puzzles!

My baby boy is now 2! Kason turned 2 on Saturday! He LOVES SpongeBob, so we had to do a SpongeBob themed party! I am so proud of this cake. Kody and I took 2 hours to frost it!!! We think it turned out awesome! I wouldn't let anyone eat it that day, so everyone else had cupcakes....we finally did cut into and eat it on Sunday....but it was started from two little boys hands digging into the side of his arm. Kason wouldn't blow out the candles...we tried several times...so I finally blew it out for him!

To my sweet Kason, oh how we prayed for you and why we named you Kason...your name means "protected" and we knew you would be! As hard as that time was, I thank my Heavenly Father for it and for your strength and the precious week I spent with just me and you! That bonding time meant so much to me. Oh Kason, we know that you are strong and can see to this day, how the personality you have, had to be there from the beginning. We love you choncho! Happy 2nd Birthday!

More Christmas Photos and Fun....

...since I'm a slacker here is a few more fun Christmas things we did...gingerbread houses!!! We went up to Kody's sisters' house this year (in mid-december), last year we did them at our house...we started a new tradition with them. They were so much fun....but the kids got bored fast, so it became gingerbread houses for the adults.

And then our annual Giles family Christmas party that is on Dec. 23rd every year! My cute boys were such good sports for the nativity! My cute two little wisemen!The production......this is my Grandma's favorite part of the night....it is so cute to see my kids and nieces and nephews in the places where me, my siblings and cousins once were!Just threw this one in cause I thought it was cute of my boys in there sweaters at the party!

Our Robinson Christmas Party!

I have lots of things to post, so I guess I'll post a few things a day since I haven't posted again for awhile. These are from our Robinson Christmas Party that was on Dec. 9th. Our favorite part of our party is the white elephant gifts, we seem to come up with a few good ones as a family....this year seemed to be a lot of "Christmas Story" things.....like the leg lamp...I didn't get a good pic of one :( That is my old nasty hair brush that Kody made into a "Redneck Rockband Microphone"

Kason got bored of what everyone else was doing and I found him here behind the tree playing with Dominoes!

Sorry to anyone that likes to keep up on our blog...I have not posted forever, so I am finally posting our Thanksgiving weekend fun!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we were in Mt. Pleasant at Kody's parents house and went to a fun "Main Street Lighting" that they have in town. They have a count down and turn on the lights all down Main Street. They had little game booths and a toy drawing at the end and Kooper won the game "Don't break the Ice". He loves it, the funny thing is, I remember playing it when I was little when it first came out....here are a few pictures of the fun evening....

I finally feel like I can take a deep breath....well at least after Saturday morning! This has been my month:Nov 1-I did 21 mini-albums for a Super Saturday, Nov 7 & 8- vendor for Close to my Heart at an overnight scrapbook thing, Nov 11- my turn to host the scrapbook group at my house ( had to get 10 2-page layouts ready for the ladies to put together), Nov 13- Enrichment mini-class at my house (47 mini-books, pre-cut by me....and some help from Katherine & Arianne...thank you!...and thank you to Jenny for helping me that night!) , Nov 20-make-up mini class at my house (some of the 47 books, and again thanks Jenny for your HELP!), and then last but not least Nov 22- another Super Saturday...only a couple of books for this one.............and then I breathe, go see Twilight on Saturday night and enjoy my Thanksgiving week letting others cook for me and my family and down to Kody's Parents to enjoy BREATHING normally and relaxing and passing out from paper cutting exhaustion!!! Glad to be done...but enjoyed seeing other people happy with the project!!!

I was tagged by my cousin Annie to write seven random things about myself so here it comes!
1. I always have cold feet when I go to bed. It doesn't matter if I had socks on before climbing into to bed or whether it's summer or winter, my feet are ice cold. Kody has the pleasure of me putting my cold feet right on his legs and me saying "my feet are cold, warm them up". He's a good sport about it!
2. I can't stand characters on little kids' shoes. I, for the longest time would not let Kooper have any kind of character on his shoes, I think they are so cheesy...sorry to anyone that has them for their kids, I just hate them. Kooper came home from Grandma King's one weekend and he was wearing Lightning McQueen shoes....I was livid! They are all he wants to wear now and I will bribe him with all sorts of things to get him to put any of his other shoes on.
3. I am a pack rat! I have the hardest time throwing anything away, I get this from my dad I know. I think, I'll use that again, or someone else might need that. When I finally do get rid of something, I need it weeks or even days later.
4. I, just like Annie, hate open cabinets and drawers and lights left on in a room that no one is in. I walk around to rooms shutting doors, cabinets, drawers and lights off, I even have to get after my husband for most of it!
5.I let Kason eat whatever he wants, I just care that he IS eating. If he wants a cookie for breakfast, I give in and let him have it, because the poor kid could put on a pound or two. I am so bad, I do try to offer good foods, but when he'll eat, I just let him eat.
6. I am obsessive compulsive when it comes to crayons or markers being put away in rainbow order. I know it sounds totally silly, but I find myself fixing Koopers markers to be perfect. I do the same kind of thing with my cash, they all have to face the same way. I know, I have issues.
7. I love salty treats. You give me the choice between cake or popcorn, I'll choose popcorn everytime. I also really love potato chips....so I rarely buy them...because I WILL EAT THEM! I've had to cut back on salt ever since I was pregnant with Kason, I had seriously high blood pressure with him and I am still struggling with it now....so everything is low sodium for me.

My friend Sam just did one about her husband and I have seen many others do it, so I am finally doing it....here it goes. Kody!

#1 Where did you meet your husband? On a blind date set up by his brother.
#2 How long did you date before you were married? 4 months #3 How long have you been married? A little over 7 amazing years!

#4 What does he do that suprises you? He always seems to call me out of the blue(at least for him) when I am having a bad day or moment. He will randomly bring my flower(s) just because it's "Tuesday". He plans these really extravagant dates for Mothers Day or my Birthday. He always buys me a fun present and makes a theme out of it and has a cake made to match the theme! (My ipod cake) #5 What is your favorite feature of his? His broad shoulders and his athletic jaw, plus his smile that brightens my day. #6 What is your favorite quality? He is my best friend, and when I am blowing up he is totally calm and waits for me to finish being crazy mad. He listens to me and will go see "chick flicks" with me. He is an amazing provider for our family, even when it seems like we don't know what's going to happen next, he works hard and finds a way to fix it and get us back on our feet! He is a great father!
#7 Does he have any nicknames for you? I don't know if it's appropriate to blog this one, if you really want to know ask me by phone or email. He also has the generic ones but mostly Sweetie, or Hot Mama.
#8 What is his favorite food? Chinese, when I make it, won tons especially. But we do have a few places that we love to go to like: Carrabba's, P.F. Changs ,Tepanyaki's, Yapona and Chili's. He also loves a few fast food places like: Barbacoa, Taco Amigo, and Wendy's. He's pretty easy to please with food. #9 What is his favorite sport? Basketball. He played varsity all 4 years and he was all-state and had a scholarship to Weber State, but on his mission he blew out his knee and when he came home is scholarship was gone. He also love to play golf. We watch a little bit of basketball and football, but he would rather play sports than watch them.
#10 When and where did you first kiss? On our 2nd date, I was sitting on the edge of his bed at his apartment while he changed(just his sweater) to go to my Grandma Giles Easter party and he came and sat next to me, lightly pushed me back on the bed and kissed me...he was trying to be sly it was so cute! #11 What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to go on dates together mostly to dinner and a movie. If the kids are at Grandma's for the weekend then we will do doubler header movie. We love to do anything that we can spend time together. We also love to sit and watch all of our DVR shows, couch cuddle time. #12 Do you have any kids? Yes, 2 wonderful boys, Kooper almost 5 and Kason almost 2.
#13 Does he have any hidden talents? He is an amazing artist. He originally was going to go into graphic design.
#14 How old is he? 28, almost 29.
#15 Who said "I love you" first? He says that he did, it was at the end of our second official date and we were at his apartment talking and we could see the Jordan River temple from his window and that's when he told me he loved me and I said it right back. We knew we were going to get married after that night ( I knew before that, but I didn't want to freak him out after only being together a few times. )

#16 Whats his favorite music? Mostly rap and rock....some heavy metal.
#17 What do you admire most about him? His hard work, when he puts his mind to something he gets it done. He has made it possible for me to be a stay-at-home mom.
#18 What is his favorite past time? He always talks about the cattle ranch and swathing hay. One thing he says he misses is following the swather and catching the mice that would scatter from the swather going across the field. He even talks about loving and missing branding cattle.

While I was there I ran into my friend Jenny and she had a camera so we decided to take pictures of each other since neither of us had voted at the general election before (sad to admit)!

Kody has been on oxygen now for a couple of weeks. He is sleeping so much better. For those that don't know, we found out that Kody has sleep apnea, because his airway through his nose is closing off at night and he was getting under 80% of his oxygen at night which was not allowing him to get REM sleep. He sleeps so much better now, even with the noisy machine that we put all the way downstairs so we can't hear it, as much. I used to joke around and call him my "little chemo patient", because of his shaved head and the oxygen, but my niece used the same joke on his facebook and we gave the wrong idea to some friends. We don't make that joke anymore around other people. I think he looks cute with his oxygen...but he wasn't loving me taking these pictures so much!

Today was my cousin Mitch's Farewell. He is going to the Ventura, California Mission. He is leaving Wednesday and he'll be a wonderful missionary. We attempted a huge Giles Family picture and these are the results. We had multiple camera's taking pictures, so hopefully one photo works....all I know is Kason will be bawling in every one of them because he was hating picture time.

My Grandma wanted individual family pictures (her kid's families). So we tried this one too, hopefully we can find one that we have everyone looking forward...or else we might have to use photo shop to merge some photo's (We have to photo shop my sisters husband in anyway, he was saving their dying horse.)

Apparently I am now the proud mother of a stuffed animal named "Bear". Bear goes everywhere with us. He has to be buckled in the car, he can not be left in the car, because it will get too hot and he will die, and he has to eat with the family. We do not go anywhere (except Kooper has to go to school without him) without Bear. If Kooper has something, Bear has to have one too. Bear even has his own blanket and pillow on the floor if Kooper decides not to sleep with Bear in his bed. I don't know how long this will last but, Bear is now a King!

At preschool Kooper has been learning the song, "I'm a mean old witch with a hat" (some of you might remember it from grade school). We were hanging out in my parents front room and Kason picked up the witch's hat and decided to put it on.

Then Kooper had to put the other one on.

Then ,of course, because mom wanted pictures, Kason started taking the hat off.

We finally ended up with this picture and then Grandma came in and played the piano so Kooper could sing the song with the hat on.....too cute!

Lately Kody has had to "lay low"...poor thing has mono.....well of course my side started to hurt also (where my spleen is)so at my last doctors appointment they felt my spleen and said I have an enlarged spleen and I most likely have mono too (go figure the kissing disease). They sent me for a blood test to check, I got the results back today and it's negative, so either I had it and the after affects are happening or I have something else, which is freaking me out. But in the meantime, Kody and I are enjoying some "down time" and catching up on the seasons of "House", we just finished the 3rd and are starting the 4th tonight and will hopefully be able to finish it and start watching the current season. I will say even if I did or did not have mono the catching up on our shows has been fun and nice to relax with my hubby......30 hours of remaining space on the DVR a new record low....we lately have had to delete old stuff so our new stuff could record.

Thursday me and 5 friends of mine: Joli, Jen, Katherine, Melissa & Jenny all went to see "Nights in Rodanthe", the 10:00 showing. There were mixed reviews from all, some liked, some not so much and we all were mad at the ending....But we sure had a blast together!!!

Well, we attempted a funny picture at first, and only two cooperated.....Joli and Jenny, the rest of us poo-pooed out.....then we all did it again and got a good funny one to Jenny's request!

What a fun bunch of gals, can't wait to hang out again!!!

So I asked Kody to come help me with something and he told me "just a minute"....well I found him in Kooper's room playing Kooper's Leapster. What I needed him for had to wait for a preschool game.......But it was way cute how Kason was sitting on him, I missed it a little though, before I took the pic he was sitting right on his shoulder with his arm around Kody's head.

My newest Nephew!!! I was so excited when I found out that Kris(Kody's brother) & Brit were finally having a boy. He is so cute and was born on Labor day......and Brit's brother & sister-in-law had a girl on the same day!!!

So of course I had to make a quilt. The coloring didn't turn out nice in the picture....that orange looking color is supposed to be tan....but it does enough for what it did look like!

They have two girls....so we are hoping the same luck (just the opposite situation)happens with us when we ever decide try to get a girl.

So my friend Jamie posts her quilts that she finishes, I thought I would post my latest ones. This one is my very favorite, I just finished it about a month ago. I had been working on it since March!!! I am so glad it's done...but it sure was fun doing it!!! Kody loves this one and wants to use it because it reminds him of his Grandma's quilt because it's so heavy....but it took too long and cost too much to let him use it, so I'm being selfish and it's hanging over my banister! My very favorite thing about this one is the little bonus quilt that was made with the scraps from the snowballs in the quilt!

This one I bought a kit from Jackie Thompson (amazing quilter). It was one that the ward did for an enrichment mini-class...while I was on bed rest with Kason, and I really wanted to do it. So she had an extra and I took it home and finished the top in about a week. The quilting and binding took a little longer, but I love this one and I customized the bottom...which you can't see in this picture to say Kings, est., 2001! I changed some of the background colors and word colors to my liking. I am so proud of this one and if hangs off my shelf over the stairs. My favorite part of this one was the blanket stitching on my machine around everything........that took a little bit!

This one I have had finished for a while...but I just love the colors!!! Man I need a girl!!!

So I think that I am blogger retarded. So many of you get on and update all the time....not me I am so stinking slow at doing this and I don't get on very often. So I'll do what I can. Kason yesterday said "cheese"....surprise, surprise....this little mite loves string cheese. Kooper came home from preschool on Monday and we had to go on a "c" hunt....It's cute for a while and then he starts asking if everything starts with a "c". I love his lust for learning...it reminds me of myself at that age. Too bad it wears off!
