My Sweet Husband!

I can't remember what movie it came from, but Kody and I have always joked about a line about getting flowers "just because it's Tuesday"...I love getting flowers for no reason. Kody did it yesterday...it was so cute. He brought home Bajio salads for us and a pepperoni Papa Murphy's pizza for the kids and this sweet flower and note!
How sweet is that! He totally made my day!

Our 2nd attempt at pictures!

I never did blog about our first adventure....and I probably should've! I tried about a month ago to get Kason's 2 year old pictures done. It was a DISASTER! He screamed the whole time, so we rescheduled for last week and we got a few with him and Kooper together....so to get some of Kason by himself, we just cropped them! We thought we could get Kason to warm up to the photographer if they went together first....it worked for a few, but we never got any of him by himself. I tried to change there clothes for some other ones together...I even put them in Lightning McQueen shirts together....still didn't work! We were lucky to get the few we got, because Kason inevitably screamed again for the rest of the time there. Kooper did great for his individual pictures.....at least I have one child that is easy to take pictures at a studio! I love this one! This one was a good one for cropping Kason!We had to hold Lightning McQueen to be happy! Here is a cropped one of Kason!

Baby Blanket for my friend!

Here is a baby blanket I made a couple weekends ago for my friend Leslie from high school and my old neighborhood! I loved the colors of this one! She seemed to love it! I hope everything goes well for Leslie, she is due on March 12th....so maybe she had her by now or will soon! Here's a close up of the edge I did with my machine!

1. What are your middle names? Kody's, Lars or Larson.....Lars on his Birth certificate and Larson on church records....typo on the BC but, later found out it was his Great grandfathers name! Kayla's, Rae....my grandmothers middle name and just made a new friend Rae Ann...we bonded with the name!

2. How long have you been together? 8 years on April 6th...married for 7 1/2!

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? Didn't know each other at all, we got set up on a blind date and were together everyday after that!

4. Who asked who out? Neither....love ya Korm and Kristy for setting us up!

5. How old were each of you? Me 17, Kody 21

6. Whose siblings do/ did you see the most? Mine, Kody even went to lunch with my little sis today!!!

7. Do you have any children together? yes, 2 handsome boys! Kooper 5 and Kason 2

8. What about pets? None....but grandma King has a kitty and my boys claim it as theirs!

9. Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple? Financial situations are the hardest....didn't used to be!

12. Who is smarter? Me in book smarts, but Kody in street smarts!

13. Who is more sensitive? That one is a toss up, Kody is sensitive to my feelings and I can be at times!

14. Where do you eat out most as a couple? I would have to say recently Joe Vera's...but we like to go to alot of places!

15. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? mmmmm.....Montana or Disneyland....really we don't travel much!

16. Who has the craziest exes? We don't really have a problem with that....probably me....I have more!

17. Who has the worst temper? Probably me, with each other....but Kody with our kids and lenders :)

18. Who does the cooking? Me, Kody is trying more lately!

25. Do you get flowers often? Yes, when we have good cash flow....he likes to make my day...even if it is a single rose!

26. How do you spend the holidays? Usually with my family, because they plan things, but we like to go down to Kody's parents house in Mt. Pleasant when it's "their turn"

27. Who is more jealous? Probably me....i hate that I wish I wasn't!

28. How long did it take to get serious? Like the second date!

29. Who eats more? Depends, lately Kody....I have been cutting back my portions!

30. Who does the laundry? Me.....never ends!!!

I can't believe I have a 5 year old now! Besides him turning 5, I just went and registered him for Kindergarten earlier this week, I almost cried....so I can't imagine what I will be like on his first day of Kindergarten! After Kason's spongebob party...Kooper decided he had to have one too....so here is Spongebob cake #2! Blowing out the candles!Reading the card from Grandma Great! Kooper and his cousin Craig...they are good pals! This picture of Kooper is just priceless....he was so excited for his CARS Leapster2! The loot! My little sweet toothed boy! Of course Grandma assists in the feeding of the sugary snacks!

My Lightning McQueen tire cupcakes for Kooper's preschool class! This was my midnight creation remembering that I needed a treat for his Birthday at Preschool!

My boys do look like me!!!

This is for everyone that always tells me that Kooper & Kason look just like Kody! Really I'm not mad about it! I just found these the other day and and said with excitement "My kids actually do look like me!

We can see a lot of Kooper in this one...mainly the dimples and eyes!

And this one we see alot of Kason!!! ( I am the baby in the middle, if you can't tell!!!)

New family night tradition!

We just decided to start pulling out my collection of Disney poster puzzles and doing a family puzzle every Monday night! Last night I chose 101 Dalmations....because my kids watch that movie in the car all the time! We had a lot of fun....mom and dad did most the work....but Kooper is pretty good at puzzles!

Happy Birthday to my Kason!

My baby boy is now 2! Kason turned 2 on Saturday! He LOVES SpongeBob, so we had to do a SpongeBob themed party! I am so proud of this cake. Kody and I took 2 hours to frost it!!! We think it turned out awesome! I wouldn't let anyone eat it that day, so everyone else had cupcakes....we finally did cut into and eat it on Sunday....but it was started from two little boys hands digging into the side of his arm. Kason wouldn't blow out the candles...we tried several times...so I finally blew it out for him!

To my sweet Kason, oh how we prayed for you and why we named you Kason...your name means "protected" and we knew you would be! As hard as that time was, I thank my Heavenly Father for it and for your strength and the precious week I spent with just me and you! That bonding time meant so much to me. Oh Kason, we know that you are strong and can see to this day, how the personality you have, had to be there from the beginning. We love you choncho! Happy 2nd Birthday!

More Christmas Photos and Fun....

...since I'm a slacker here is a few more fun Christmas things we did...gingerbread houses!!! We went up to Kody's sisters' house this year (in mid-december), last year we did them at our house...we started a new tradition with them. They were so much fun....but the kids got bored fast, so it became gingerbread houses for the adults.

And then our annual Giles family Christmas party that is on Dec. 23rd every year! My cute boys were such good sports for the nativity! My cute two little wisemen!The production......this is my Grandma's favorite part of the night....it is so cute to see my kids and nieces and nephews in the places where me, my siblings and cousins once were!Just threw this one in cause I thought it was cute of my boys in there sweaters at the party!
